Guest Bedroom/Office

So the last two rooms to finish are the "loft/middle room" and the guest room/office. We are slowly but surely getting some things up on the walls in the middle room; it just needs furniture and cable run up from downstairs. Then we have to paint the guest bedroom and furnish it. It's never ending. But good; it'll be worth it soon enough!
I have some inspiration for the guest bedroom, which will have the middle room as a sort of living room when we have guests. It will also be a nice space to keep some of my paperwork and craft stuff, including my sewing machine (I've been sewing on the coffee table, which gets tricky!). Of course, things are always changing and we don't even have a color picked out for the last room. But here are some ideas to get the ball rolling, even it hits wall and bounces back towards a-whole-nother direction.

I def want a daybed; space saving and leaves enough room for an office/desk along the wall.

 See what I mean?

I just want a simple desk with enough space to do some projects, fill out paperwork, pay bills and leave my laptop. (Wouldn't mind the chair and ottoman in the living room or middle room!)

Perfect example of the desk! I want to find an antique one, or even a table to use as a desk.

This is much more room than our guest bedroom has, but I adore the white... oooh I may have just found our wall color!

And as selfish as it may be, I sort of want this room to be mine. Then I can get all the girly decor that's not allowed in the rest of the house out of my system. :) Especially since it's pretty much the best friends room.

This was on the best friends pinterest. So I think it's safe to say she'll love it in her room! :)

 Love bird cages for lighting!

Vintage (and super girly) frames with cork board.

via
Homemade candles in teacups, vintage bowls, jars, etc.

Silk flowers in distilled water = genius alternative to fresh flowers, year round.

It's gonna be too cute! Hopefully the boyfriend doesn't mind. ;)

  1. I do love it! And the birdcage lighting and framed cork boards. AND the teacup candles. Sheesh. Now I want to watch Picker Sisters!
