While desperately trying to decide on a paint color for our bedroom the other night, I turned to a classic source of inspiration; Pottery Barn. I can thank my parents for introducing me, and really, I couldn't thank them enough. Browsing through a gazillion pictures of room inspirations, I found a neat floor plan building tool. If you're not sure about how you'd like a new room to be laid out, or want to update an existing layout, this is how to do it.
I was able to pick out very similar furniture that we already have, as well as shop for new pieces. The colors aren't exactly right (the bed is going to be dark wood and the rugs will probably have some color) but the size and layout are just perfect. It makes me so excited, and confident, to see how our bedroom will turn out!
PS- I found a DIY website that literally has the best plans for building furniture for a fraction of the cost. Included is the Hudson Bed from Pottery Barn, which I have (with the boyfriends help) budgeted and planned on making as soon as the bedroom is painted. I'll be sharing soon!
To be able to make a visual from the ideas you have been thinking about...perfect. so many of the rewards of a vision are in the planning.
